Best Time to Visit

Perched on the Mediterranean, Morocco’s four distinct seasons bring very special sides out of Marrakesh. And while each has its charms, the very best time to visit Marrakesh is during spring, March to May, or fall, September to November. The temperature is warm but comfortable, with vibrant colors and sunny skies that make these seasons ideal for exploring the city and enjoying Marrakesh’s natural beauty. Summers can be extremely hot, especially in July and August, with temperatures sometimes exceeding 100°F. But this makes it a great time for lounging by the pool in an enchanting riad and day tripping out to the Atlas Mountains. Winter months bring cooler evenings and fewer crowds, which, in turn, make sightseeing a more relaxed endeavor. No matter the season, Marrakesh’s vibrant markets, historic sites, and lively atmosphere create a memorable travel experience.
